Terms of Use
Effective November 2, 2026
The Clean Shelf is operated by The Clean Shelf, LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“we” or “us”). By buying or using The Clean Shelf (“the guide”), you agree to these terms.
Your license
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the guide for your own household while your plan is active. Please don’t share your license key or resell, copy, or republish the guide’s content. Each key works on a limited number of devices; you can free one up by signing out on a device you no longer use.
Plans, renewal, and cancellation
Payments. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller (merchant of record) and handles payment, sales tax or VAT, and receipts. Purchases made in The Clean Shelf Android app are processed by Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service; for those, Google Play handles payment, renewals, receipts, cancellation (Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions), and refunds under its own policies.
Yearly plan. The yearly plan is a subscription that renews automatically every year at the then-current yearly price (we’ll email you before a price change applies to your renewal), charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your Lemon Squeezy purchase email or customer account. When you cancel, your plan won’t renew again, and you keep access until the end of the year you already paid for. If a renewal payment fails and can’t be collected, or the plan ends after you cancel, your license key stops unlocking the guide.
Founding-member price. A founding-member discount, when offered, applies to the first year only. Later years renew at the regular yearly price shown at checkout.
Lifetime plan. When offered (launch only), the lifetime plan is a single payment with no renewals. It gives access, including updates, for the life of the product, meaning for as long as we operate The Clean Shelf, not for the buyer’s lifetime.
Devices. Each license key works on a limited number of devices, shown at checkout and on our site.
Information only, not medical advice
The guide is a general shopping reference. It isn’t medical, nutritional, or allergy advice. Product formulations, certifications, and availability change, and we can’t guarantee that every listing is current or error-free. Always read the current package label, and consult a qualified professional about your dietary needs.
Third-party products and sites
Products, trademarks, and certification marks belong to their owners. The Clean Shelf isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any brand listed, the Seed Oil Free Alliance, the Non-GMO Project, the USDA, or The Detox Project, and certifies nothing itself. Badges report third-party certifications as published by the certifier. Links to retailers and brand sites are for convenience, and we aren’t responsible for their content, prices, or products. No brand pays to be listed or ranked. Some shop links may be affiliate links; they don’t affect which products are listed or how they’re ordered.
Updates
We aim to review the guide weekly but may change, add, or remove content at any time.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled under the policy of the store you bought from (for direct purchases, Lemon Squeezy; for purchases in the Android app, Google Play) and our own refund policy: for purchases made on our website, we’ll give a full refund if you ask within 14 days of your first purchase or of a yearly renewal, no questions asked. Just email us from the address you bought with. Cancelling a yearly plan stops future renewals but doesn’t by itself refund the current year. Contact us if you have a problem with your purchase.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The guide is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, The Clean Shelf isn’t liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the guide, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do. Continuing to use the guide means you accept the updated terms.
